yeah thats cute, but imagine how heartbroken he will be when he finds out it’s not real.
And that is a DAMN good response to the age old issue.
The people against this blow my mind. Yeah he’ll be sad when he finds out it’s not real. But he’ll have the same reaction to EVERYTHING kids believe. Santa, for example. No one says shit about THAT parental lie, why the hell NOT tell them the Doctor is real? I’d much rather my own child believe in some one who saves the world and believes in humanity than an old guy who judges children’s behavior and only works one night a year. ;)
(edit: a note… I remember how many things I believed in as a kid. mermaids, fairies, magic, unicorns, EVERYTHING. when I figured out I’d never meet those things, yeah it was sad. But you know what? I’m glad I had that belief as a kid… the world was an incredible place when I 100% believed in those things so strongly. this kid is BLESSED with that belief, it’s a childhood strength that we all eventually lose. Even our adult beliefs are trickled with constant doubt. Let the kid have his doubtless happiness for a while)
